Food Banks
HOW TO GET HELP:
To access a food bank, a place where you can receive free food support, you need to get a Foodbank voucher.
To get a Foodbank voucher you need to:
Contact the free national helpline, Help through Hardship, on 0808 2082138 (open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, NOT public holidays) to talk confidently with a trained Citizens Advice Adviser.
They will assess you and if appropriate, issue you with a foodbank voucher.
Take your foodbank voucher to your nearest Foodbank centre.
You can ask your support worker or your health practitioner with help in this.

Borderlands Halal Meal & Supermarket
Food Distribution every Tuesday from 11am to 2pm:
From 10:30 to 12:00 we open our Social Supermarket where we offer vegetables, fruit and other donated groceries to our members through internal referrals. We want to make sure our members and their families on low-income or those who are destitute have access to quality food each week. During these hours, coffee and tea are also available at our breakfast table!
From 13:00 to 14:00: we provide a hot halal meal to make sure our members have access to at least 1 hot meal a week. We want to ensure our members are able to get the warm food they need and share community over the common language of food!

Bridges for Communities - Peace Feast
Once a month, Bridges for Communities will organise a free community meal.
Food On Our Doorstep
Prioritise families with children under 5 but are accessible for anyone in need of support with food.
£1 membership for a year
Then also £3.50-£4 every time a member attends a FOOD CLUB in exchange for £10-15 worth of food
