  • SIM cards to asylum seekers in any IA hotels in the area and destitute asylum seekers without a SIM card (not replacing SIMs)​

Digital Inclusion

Bristol City Council​

Provides old BCC laptops on extended loan and details of how to refer people to get one.​

The priority groups/criteria for eligibility for a laptop are:​

  • 16-19’s NEET (or up to 25 if they have an EHCP)​

  • Parents with children under the age of two who receive Universal Credit or have free childcare.​

  • Unemployed with little to no qualifications eg: homeless, asylum seekers, refugees. ​

  • This group will have to enrol on a course with the Community Learning Team. This could be short digital learning course, there are several choices. ​

  • Older people over 50 – isolated & can’t afford a laptop.​

If you fit the criteria & would like a laptop, please ask a charity to contact digital.inclusion@bristol.gov.uk, to make a referral. ​

Occasionally will be able to offer prepaid SIM cards or will have technological devices available. Please visit Aid Box Community’s Free Shop and Hub to enquire on availability. There is no guarantee on availability.
