Why Do It?

Life in the UK for asylum seekers and refugees is often anything but safe or welcoming. Many arrive traumatised, isolated, and destitute—unable to work, living on as little as £1.42 a day, and facing months or even years of uncertainty while their asylum claims are processed. The system is complex and dehumanising, with people housed in unsuitable accommodation, denied basic dignity, and left vulnerable to mental health struggles. In Bristol, we offer a lifeline: a Free Shop where people can choose essentials with dignity, a Welcome Hub for connection and support, and community programmes that restore hope, belonging, and humanity.

🏃‍♀️ Event Highlights:

  • Flat, scenic route through Bristol’s riversides, green spaces, and historic landmarks

  • Live music and entertainment along the course to keep you motivated

  • Free event day tracking app for friends and family to follow your progress

  • Baggage drop available at Lloyds Amphitheatre

  • Free training plans and exclusive runner discounts

  • Aid Box Community T-Shirt & Team Spirit!

Let’s run together for dignity, hope, and community. Every mile you run helps someone take a step toward a better future.
