Recently, we were delighted to hear that the Aberdeen Charitable Foundation, part of Aberdeen Asset Management, has earmarked a £4,900 donation for ABC.
The money is for maintenance of the Hub. It’ll help us get some much-needed projects done around the building making it a nicer place for the refugees and asylum seekers who come in, as well as staff and volunteers who work tirelessly for the cause.
Along with the funds, they’re also providing us with extra people power. As part of Aberdeen Asset Management’s charitable focus, they give staff the chance to swap some of their work days for volunteering sessions in the community. So some of their team will soon be helping us paint the front of the Hub and lending a hand around the place.
Claire Drummond, head of charitable giving at the Aberdeen Charitable Foundation, said: “It’s important for Aberdeen staff to give their time and support towards charitable projects in the communities in which they live and work and we are pleased to have been able to offer our support.”
A big thank you to everyone involved!
